HLI President Applauds Susan G. Komen for the Cure for Cutting Ties to Planned Parenthood
Nation’s leading breast cancer charity cuts ties with nation’s leading abortion provider FRONT ROYAL, Virginia – HLI President Father Shenan J. Boquet made the following remarks today in response to news that Susan G. Komen for the Cure is halting its partnerships with Planned Parenthood affiliates: "We are deeply grateful that the leadership of Komen for the Cure has taken the courageous step of separating themselves from the largest abortion provider in the United States, Planned Parenthood. “While vicious attacks have already been levied against them by abortion supporters on web sites and across social media, a number of pro-life and pro-family groups and individuals are sharing sincere thanks and praise as well. “The more organizations and companies who recognize Planned Parenthood for what it is - a corrupt, divisive and destructive fraud perpetrated against women's health, and especially against children - the more people of faith and reason can join together in supporting causes that truly improve women's health. Clearly, abortion is not good for women's health. "I hope that all who truly want to see breast cancer defeated will thank Susan G. Komen for the Cure for separating themselves from Planned Parenthood by sending an email to news@komen.org, leaving comments of thanks on their Facebook page and sending messages on Twitter."
