In this talk, The Healing Presence of Christ in the Practice of Medicine, Dr. John Bruchalski applies the wisdom of Pope Benedict XVI, given during his 2008 visit to the United States, to the problem, as well as the solution, of the "crisis of the laity in medicine."  Dr. Bruchalski sees the answer to this crisis in the Holy Father's illuminating words, "only...when their faith permeates every aspect of their lives, do Christians become truly open to the transforming power of the Gospel."

Dr. John Bruchalski is the founder of the Tepeyac Family Center and Divine Mercy Care, the Diocese of Arlington's first Catholic healthcare facility.  Located in Fairfax, VA, Divine Mercy Care provides affordable obstetrical and gynecological care to women, including those in crisis pregnancies, and teaches Natural Family Planning.  DMC does not refer for abortions or prescribe contraception.

This talk was recorded at the XIX Christendom College Summer Institute in July 2008.
