HLI President Meets Holy Father

On November 16th HLI President, Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, was present at a general audience at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome with His Holiness Benedict XVI.

In the first picture the Holy Father expresses joy and instant name recognition when Fr. Euteneuer tells him that he is representing Human Life International! Notice also the baby perfectly framed between the Holy Father and Fr. Euteneuer—a perfect pro-life picture!


In the second picture Fr. Euteneuer presents to the Holy Father an actual Croatian coin bearing an astounding image. This 25 Kuna coin (about US $5) was minted in the jubilee year, 2000, and is the only coin in the world, and perhaps in all of history, which bears the imprint of an unborn baby.


Fr. Euteneuer expressed his sentiments of gratitude to the Holy Father for his stalwart defense of life and gave him greetings on behalf of the whole HLI network of pro-life missionaries around the world. His meeting with the Holy Father was a concrete expression of HLI’s strict union with the Vicar of Christ on earth. May the Lord bless Pope Benedict!
