The First Glorious Mystery: The Resurrection

“At daybreak on the first day of the week they took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb; but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.” (Luke 24: 1-3)

“An angel of the Lord descended from heaven, the angel said to the women: ‘Do not be afraid! I know that you are seeking Jesus the crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised just as he said and he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him.' Then they went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed.” (Matthew 28: 2-8)

Prayer
Merciful Lord, you know how desperate are those who work in the industry which promotes the killing of innocent babies and the works of death. Many times they feel that they are beyond hope of your mercy. Help them to know that your love for them is infinite and that you can bring any person who is dead in sin out of his tomb of death and into the life of your kingdom.
