The Fifth Luminous Mystery: The Eucharist

Reading

“When the day for sacrificing the Passover lamb arrived Jesus said to them, ‘I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.’ Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body, which will be given for you.’ And likewise the cup saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you.’” (Luke 22: 7, 15, 19-20)

Prayer

Dearest Lord Jesus, to the Church you entrusted the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist as the font of salvation for the whole world. May your Church offer generous and constant prayers in the Eucharist for the conversion of all ministers of death and one day see them share the eternal banquet of heaven with us and with the children whose lives they have cut short through the sin of abortion.
