Seminarians for Life International (SFLI) is an outreach of Human Life International (HLI) created to educate seminarians about essential pro-life issues and train them to be the next generation of pro-life leaders. Seminarians for Life International currently reaches seminarians in 12 countries through its educational newsletter. Established by HLI's founder, Rev. Paul Marx, O.S.B., Ph.D., in 1989, SFLI still carries out its original mission by publishing a newsletter, distributing pro-life material to seminarians, giving talks at seminaries and leading training sessions worldwide.

As an outreach of Human Life International, SFLI relies on the expert staff of Human Life International's world headquarters to carry out its mission. Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer, our current president, following in the path of Fr. Marx, has traveled to over 32 countries and six continents speaking to seminarians. Brian Clowes, Ph.D., our research expert, has produced a Pro-Life Basic Training Program and a comprehensive dictionary of information for pro-life activists called The Facts of Life. He has also presented his training program to seminarians in several different countries. Joseph Meaney, our director of international coordination, has spoken to seminarians in many parts of the world about international threats to life.

Human Life International has been instrumental in helping support and often create outreach programs to seminarians in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cameroon, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Croatia, El Salvador, Honduras, India, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Ukraine, the United States and Venezuela. With the help of HLI, seminarians in many of these countries produce their own pro-life newsletters. HLI Romania, for example, translates the SFLI English newsletter into Romanian. Additional information about the work of HLI's branches can be found on this website.

As director of Seminarians for Life International, I welcome input from seminarians and faculty. I am a former seminarian and have received a Masters of Divinity from Mount St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. While at Mount St. Mary's Seminary from 1999-2000, I served as the former president of Seminarians for Life International.

I am eager to help your seminary. You can reach me through the contact information given below. If you do not already receive our newsletter, please send me a note with the address of your seminary, and I will add you to our mailing list.
