Enough with the Blood Money

Most Americans do not support abortion after the baby can feel pain. Yet every day in parts of America babies may be aborted up to the 9th month. And as if those blood money profits were not enough, selling fetal body parts adds horror upon horror and continues to happen. But yesterday we saw a ray of hope.

It may be a drop in the bucket but Tuesday the Trump Administration cancelled a $15,900 contract [1] which allowed the Food and Drug Administration to acquire human fetal remains from aborted children. The U.S. government is still spending $95-$100 million on procurement of fetal tissue from aborted babies. In this particular case, nightmarishly, the human tissue was being implanted into mice for experiments. In response to the cancelled contract, HLI President, Fr. Shenan J. Boquet states: “The Trump decision treats the body of the aborted baby with the dignity it deserves even though the baby’s inherent dignity and right to life was first violated by the murderous act of abortion.”

Senate Reacts

The firm providing the fetal tissue, Advanced Bioscience Resources, has a history of working with Planned Parenthood to obtain such fetal remains and even upselling the fetal body part prices for bigger profits. Last week 85 members of the Senate wrote to the FDA Commissioner directly, alarmed that ABR is still being awarded such contracts. As we all know, David Daleiden’s Center for Medical Progress exposed Planned Parenthood illegally selling aborted body parts for huge profits – for which the organization is still not being held accountable legally – despite his video documentation of rampant corruption in these sales.

Battle Not Over

The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) and founder, David Daleiden, plan on filing a Freedom of Information Act to find where additional money is going. Daleiden’s press statement reads: “By terminating a grotesque contract for “fresh” aborted baby parts [2] from Planned Parenthood’s business partners ABR that never should have been signed in the first place, HHS has taken a small first step to stop the epidemic of trafficking tiny baby hearts, lungs, livers, and brains from late-term abortion clinics into government-sponsored laboratories for taxpayer-funded experimentation. HHS’s mission to ‘serve all Americans from conception to natural death’ cannot permit trafficking unborn children to stitch their body parts into lab rats. [2]

HLI Asks Trump Administration for More

Father Shenan J. Boquet, President of Human Life International, remarks: “We praise the decision of the Trump Administration which has taken a vital step in the protection of human life, assuring children who suffered death because of abortion are protected from being treated as a commodity. However, the administration needs to assure that no contract is signed, which purchases aborted babies.” Lifesite News estimates [3] that still $100 million remains in place funding similar contracts.
