Abortion in Texas is banned. But women find ways to travel out-of-state to get an abortion.
Lubbock has become the fourth Texas county to ban abortion travel. After Dobbs vs. Jackson [1] overturned Roe vs. Wade, Texas banned abortion completely in the state.

However, Texans began traveling out-of-state to procure abortions. To respond to this, Lubbock has made traveling through Lubbock for an out-of-state abortion illegal. Three other rural counties have passed similar ordinances – Mitchell, Goliad, and Cochran. This ban can only be enforced by citizens who file lawsuits against those assisting Texans in procuring an abortion.
