Joseph Meaney, PhD

Dr. Joseph Meaney is HLI Director of International Outreach and Expansion at Human Life International. One of the world’s leading experts on the international pro-life movement, Dr. Joseph Meaney speaks English, French, Spanish, and Italian fluently. He has a BA from the University of Dallas and an MA from the University of Texas Institute of Latin American Studies. He has lectured in or completed investigative journalism missions in over 80 countries. Joseph received his PhD in Bioethics at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome in 2015 writing on “Conscience and Health Care.” He was named an honorary visiting professor at Benedict XVI Catholic University in Trujillo, Peru. He works out of the new HLI office in Paris, France, where he resides with his wife, Marie and their daughter, Thérèse.
