You Helped Students Meet the Smallest Miracles

Thanks to your support, pro-life students in Cameroon brought love and hope to new moms—and saw for themselves the beauty of life.

In Cameroon, a dangerous message is spreading. Groups like Planned Parenthood are trying to teach teens that life before birth doesn’t matter, that chastity is old-fashioned, and that abortion is the answer to women’s problems.

But you are giving students a better message.

At Mgr. Henri Vieter College, because of your support, HLI missionaries Alfred and Elizabeth Sembi started a Pro-Life Students Group. This group meets weekly to learn about God’s plan for life, love, and family.

Your gifts are helping them know the truth: that life is precious, chastity is powerful, and God’s plan for marriage brings joy.

These precious newborns made the value of preborn life a vivid reality for the high school pro-life club

A Visit That Changed Hearts

To end the Week of Prayer for the Unborn, the Pro-Life Students Group took a special trip. On March 26, 2025, more than 40 students visited Mgr. Jean Zoa Hospital, the busiest maternity hospital in the country.

These brave teens brought diapers, baby clothes, and love to over 60 new mothers—many of them alone, without support. But thanks to you, they had someone to stand beside them.

Father Dr. Célestin Xavier Ondobo Ekae, the hospital’s director, welcomed the students. He spoke about how the hospital protects life from the moment of conception. He explained the care that new mothers and their babies receive. His words inspired the students to defend life and commit to purity and truth.

Then, the students handed out the gifts you helped provide.

They smiled, they laughed, they cried. And they held babies—some less than two days old.

The Moment They Understood Life’s Value

“This is my first time holding a baby of less than two days,” said a student named Marie. She cradled the child in awe. “I’ll never forget this.”

Looking into this little girl’s eyes,
Atangan realized that protecting children like her is the most important work he can do

Atangan, the president of the Pro-Life Club, was glowing. “It was just sensational for me!” he said.

Moments like these can change a life forever.

By meeting newborns face to face, the students could truly understand: this baby was already someone special two days ago—when she was still in the womb. Life doesn’t begin at birth. It begins at conception. And you helped them see that with their own eyes.

These young people are future teachers, doctors, leaders, and parents. Because of your generosity, they’re learning to lead with love—and with truth.

Marie was enchanted. “This is my first time holding a baby of less than two days.”

Many More Still Need You

But this is just one school. There are many others where no one is teaching the truth. Where students only hear lies about life, love, and sex.

Without you, they’ll believe what the world tells them. And their families, their faith, and their future will suffer for it.

You are the reason this pro-life group exists. You are helping to form hearts that will change the world.

And with your continued generosity, more students can discover the truth.
