What Does Planned Parenthood Do with Aborted Babies?
Through a series of undercover videos (see below), the Center for Medical Progress is documenting how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted babies. From the CMP website: “Citizen journalists at CMP spent two-and-a-half years logging thousands of research hours to painstakingly gather hundreds of hours of undercover footage, dozens of eye-witness testimonies, and nearly two hundred pages of primary source documents.”
In exposing the illegal and barbaric practice of harvesting aborted baby parts for profit, the videos document the relationship between Planned Parenthood and the biotech firm StemExpress, which buys and resells aborted baby body parts for medical research.
Following is a statement from HLI President Fr. Shenan J. Boquet on the 7th video from the Center for Medical Progress, a statement first published by HLI on August 19, 2015:
“With each new video we see more clearly the humanity of the unborn child and the depravity of Planned Parenthood and its partners in this violent and disgusting trade. Every statement that Planned Parenthood and its defenders have used to deflect criticism is undermined by the next video, leading us to wonder what they can possibly say to justify the dissection of living human beings for so-called “donations” of tissue. The tiny person being killed and dissected most certainly did not give his consent. And given the number of Planned Parenthood employees who have been shown on video discussing the need for intact human beings whose hearts were not stopped with chemicals in utero, there is no way to say credibly that this only refers to a small number of cases.
“It is false compassion to say that this murder is justified so that some good might come from it. It is an outright lie to say that these babies are “blobs of tissue.” Those in the pro-life movement have known this for a long time, and we pray that these lies are exposed as such to an ever wider audience, leading to the defunding of Planned Parenthood and prosecution of those who permit and engage in this sick trade.
“May God have mercy on those who commit such heinous acts, and may He have mercy on the nation that allows this to happen. Every one of us owes both penance for these crimes and our best possible efforts to stop them. Let us begin today if we have not already begun.”
